Cool Angle Coatings was founded in Utah in January of 2011 and pioneered and patented the technology required to create a directional reflective shingle. Kirk Bailey, President and CEO


Kirk Bailey, President and CEO, is a chemical engineer with almost 30 years of technical design and management experience. Kirk also has construction experience as a licensed contractor and small business owner. He has established strategic relationships with the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and the R&D departments of major asphalt shingle manufacturers.

Jeff Holman, CLO


Jeff Holman, CLO, is a licensed Electrical Engineer and a registered Patent Attorney with a law firm focused on intellectual property protection and related transactions. Jeff has been instrumental in patenting Cool Angle technology as part of the Green Technology Pilot Program administered by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
